VW Camper Van
This is my old camper van. Good ol' 'PUD' (taken from the license plate) was with us for about 15 years until she became too expensive to run. A great car but I don't miss the cold and lack of power.

Ollie and Quentin on your iphone? Not here it isn't.
This is so frustrating. King Features have launched a Daily Ink App for the iphone and ipad and guess what, I can't get it in the UK! For those of you lucky enough to live in the US click here to have a look and tell me what Ollie and Quentin look like on it.
Nuts.

Not as lame as it first reads
I read today's joke online and thought how lame it seemed. I think a lot of people will wonder what the joke is. Maybe Ollie should have said "Where did you learn that?" You see Quentin has never experienced being stressed and only stumbled upon the symptoms online. Anyway I'm pleased with the coloring in that last frame. I love doing darkness.

New Studio
Time I stopped working from home. There is no boundary between my work life and my real one and I don't like that 'fuzziness'. I need to be able to sit down and just concentrate on work for a few hours without having to worry about the millions of home chores that need doing. Equally I'd like to be able to sit down and relax at home in the evenings without being tempted to draw into the small hours.
I'm sure I will do many more strips from my house and will still write my comic in the Guildford Coffee Shops but in an attempt to separate my work life from my home one a bit I have found a new studio that I share with lots of other 'creative' types and it's pretty mad, inspiring and fabulous! It's a converted chapel 20 minutes drive from my house with a boardroom where the altar used to be and the old organ pipes forming part of the office partitions. Bonkers! Today was my first day and everyone seems friendly and the atmosphere calm and relaxed. Really looking forward to changing the way I work and live.

Writing to prisoners
Today's comic is inspired by my lovely daughter who recently found herself some pen pals to write to. It was only after a couple of letters that she realized she was writing to prisoners in the US. It hasn't put her off, far from it. She's thoroughly enjoyed their letters and it's nice that she's enjoying snail mail in this digital age. Nothing beats receiving a letter. I must admit to being a bit nervous but the correspondence has really interested her. She tells me some of the writing has been of a very high standard, one of the guys is incredibly funny and another an amazing illustrator who uses his talent to draw naughty pictures for other inmates!

Recycling
Today's comic is an example of reusing an old rejected rough for a new joke. Sadly the States don't have the Counting Magpies song (aka Counting Crows) "One for Sorrow, Two for Joy, Three for a Girl, Four for a Boy etc etc" so this pencil rough was rejected. Shame, because it's quite a good joke here in the UK. Can you spot the similarities?

At the Rabbits Against Magic Movies
Who's that little guy sitting in the row behind? What's he doing there and why's he not busy in his own comic? What a slacker. The greatest compliment of all from the multitalented Jonathan Lemon. Thanks mate.
