Comics Coast To Coast Interview

Really excited to be chatting to the guys at Comics Coast To Coast tonight. Very flattered to be invited onto the show. If I don't make a fool of myself I'll post a link to the recording in the next few days.

Ollie and Quentin in the UK!

This month Ollie and Quentin begin their run in Winchester Today! There are a couple of nice articles on their website. Editor Kevin Gover has written a nice introduction here and you can read my Q&A session here.

I'm really excited British newspaper readers will now get a chance to read Ollie and Quentin. I have long believed my comic will go down well in the UK. Here's to a new chapter in their funny little lives!

Today's Ollie and Quentin comic on GoComics is probably the riskiest I ever got through. Glad it did because it's one of my favourites.

You can read my comic every day here. It's free and there are loads of other strips too. Some are nearly as funny as mine! I highly recommend "Bewley" by Anthony Blades. It's British and hilarious.

What have I been doing lately?

Most of my time is taken up with my fantastically exciting new Doodle Ads venture (which is really taking off) but I still manage some illustration work for my regular clients when I can. Here's what I've been doing lately...

Rude Comics...

A difference between newspapers and the web is what's deemed acceptable. The 'Warm Patch' comic above was allowed in newspapers but the 'Twinkle' one wasn't. Both are pretty tame INMHO. In fact I would say the 'Warm Patch' comic is ruder.

Holidays!

I'm off to sunny Italy! 5 days on the gorgeous island of Ischia and then 2 in Pompeii. Half a day back in the UK then it's 3 days in beautiful Bamberg in Southern Germany. 

Guess where I was last night...

Amazing seats just by the 100m start line. Awesome!

Week 1 on GoComics.com...

I love my comic being on GoComics.com. The comments Ollie and Quentin have been receiving are great and it's brilliant to see that people are actually reading my strip. Newspaper syndication was a dream of mine but it meant I received little feedback from readers. This online presence means I do, every day. I created a comic for readers to enjoy, I didn't do it to earn my fortune. With 2 million readers a day visiting GoComics I finally feel Ollie and Quentin is where it should be... in front of an enthusiastic audience and in glorious full colour. Hooray!

I'm at the Olympics!

I've been at the Olympic Park in London today watching the swimming! So exciting! Great atmosphere in an awesome park. It's HUGE! Could not fault the arenas, staff and transport. Just fantastic!
