I had to make text changes to these before they were allowed to go into newspapers. See if you can spot what I had to do and figure out why. The lower ones are the revised ones.
A cartoon strip about the unlikely friendship between Ollie (a Seagull) and Quentin (a Lugworm) by Piers Baker.

Ah, proper idioms are everything. I'm a reader of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and I just wanted to let you know that your comic immediately--on the first day it ran--became my absolute favorite, and that it has consistently met those expectations. It's rare that a comic strip makes me laugh aloud; yours frequently does.
Thanks for existing.
Wow! This is a lovely comment. Thanks Lone Pawn. I'm delighted you are enjoying 'Ollie and Quentin'. The best is yet to come so I hope readers of The Minneapolis Star-Tribune have voted to keep my strip in their newspaper.
I'll pass on your thanks for my existence to my Mum and Dad.
