I reported on Monday that 'Ollie and Quentin' was starting a 4 week trial run in The Reporter, Vacaville CA. Four whole days later I hear that the trial is over because loyal fans of another strip have kicked up such a stink about its being suspended to make way for the test features. Editor Diane Barney writes that the paper will look into finding another way of sampling new strips.

You need a third option under your Poll poll. YES in big block capitals with a lot of exclamation points. That's how I'd like to vote. Good luck with The Reporter.
I can't figure out why they won't just make space for a new one cartoon.
Bet if they cut out one celebrity article or photo there'd be lots of room. ( easy to tell my favourite part of the paper)
