Ollie and Quentin Launch Day!

...and so it starts. My 100th blog entry on day 1 of my syndication.

Very excited to receive best wishes from Mark Tatulli of 'Lio' fame, Alex Hallatt, the creator of 'Arctic Circle' and 'Cul de Sac's' Richard Thompson. Even 'Brevity's' Rodd Perry contacted me (to say he's taller than me). Thanks guys. I'm honored.

Can't believe I'm sharing the funny pages with the likes of Peanuts, Dilbert, Zits, Beetle Bailey etc. Seeing Ollie and Quentin sitting alongside these wonderful strips I can already see things I must do to improve the look of it. The text seems a little small and the greytone moiré effect is absolutely terrible. Gotta sort that out immediately.

But, hey, I'm there!

Piers,
Congratulations on getting syndicated! I just heard about your strip recently via The Daily Cartoonist and I think that it's excellent. I wish you the best of luck! I was just wondering, however, which syndicate is launching you. I thought it was King, but thye don't have the strip up on their website yet.

Thanks for that Chris. It is King Features. I have no idea why it isn't on Daily Ink yet. I'll chase them. They do have a press release on the site though.

I'll add my congratulations on getting this very nice looking strip syndicated as well.

Well done!

If your contract with King Features allows, please consider hosting the strip online yourself as well. Not being able to find it on Daily Ink is irksome.

I have read most of your blog and find it as equally fascinating as your cartoon strip. Although it takes time, I think your strip will catch on. I agree with the person that said you have a high percentage of humorous gags. I think your strip will help bring the "funny" back to the "funny papers". Congratulations, Matt Underwood

Thanks guys. I have spoken to Kings about O&Q not being on Daily Ink. They are working on it.
