Small World

This is one of my favorite strips to date. Not only do I like the joke but I loved doing the artwork (who doesn't like drawing rockets?... I sound like I'm about 6 years old). The coloring was great fun as I really enjoying creating these night scenes. It's comics like these that remind me I have one of the best jobs in the world!

Here's the page of my sketch book where you can see how this comic came about.

Huh. You don't black the sky... in my dailies, I always black the sky for the night scenes (I don't for the Sundays unless I'm in a hurry, like lately!).

Blacks are important in a comic about penguins I would imagine. I prefer my colours weaker and more 'pastilly' (is that a word?)

As for hurrying, I was ordered to do two weeks in one last week, or else! Gulp.
